FULLbites

A few weeks ago I opened the mailbox to find a sample of the new FULLbites.  I have to admit I was skeptical to try them after how much I disliked the FULLbars. They looked tempting enough, Savory BBQ and Bold Cheddar flavors, 100% Natural on the front of the package, gluten free and only 150 calories. The words Crispy, Crunchy & Satisfying stared back at me from the package. But what would they taste like? Was I brave enough to even try them or would I make someone else try them first...

Since my husband doesn't really like snack foods, I recruited my sister to help me with the taste test. I decided to let my sister taste first. I know I know, not very nice of me but since she's is the self proclaimed savory snack queen, I knew she'd give honest feed back. She decided she wanted to try the BBQ flavor first. I opened the pacakge and they smelled really good. They had a great BBQ aroma. I poured the package into a small bowl and she commented that they had an interesting tube shape. She immediately plucked one from the bowl and tried it. Then she grabbed another and without saying a word, she grabbed another, then she grabbed the whole bowl. THESE ARE REALLY GOOD!! She offered me the bowl and I tried one, crunchy, crispy with a great BBQ flavor. I grabbed another bowl and opened the Bold Cheddar flavor and once again we both LOVED them.

I explained the premise behind the snack to her, that they were created by Dr Michael Snyder, a weight loss doctor, that you were supposed to eat them 30 minutes before a meal with a glass of water and they would fill you up so you'd eat less. As it happened, it was just about 30 minutes before dinner so we thought we'd put the product to the test and see if we felt fuller and ate less.

My sister started to eat dinner and said she really felt full and decided to stop eating and pack up the rest of her dinner to take with her. I had a little bit more to eat than she did but again I felt quite full and didn't finish the amount I'd normally finish. Suprisingly, several hours later, neither of us felt hungry or wanted an evening snack.

When I was working out of an office I'd find my hunger levels rising with every fast food restaurant I passed. I really think these would be a great thing to eat on the way home with a bottle of water would would help with the amount of food you consume at dinner. I think it would also help with

They are a bit on the expensive side, a two week supply is $49.96 or you can buy a package of 18 for $39.99. I suppose when you look at the cost savings over how much less you eat at a meal, it balances out.

Over all I'd give these a good review for doing what they claim to do. I'd definately try them again.

They sound really interesting. I guess it's good they fill you up so you eat less. For me though, I think I'd rather eat the right amount of my meal I prepared for myself rather than fill up on a snack bar.

BUT, I can see where the premise is sound. Kind of like drinking a big glass of water before dinner to help you avoid overeating.

Overeating is still a big problem for me, but I'm getting ready to tackle it.

    That is pricey though!
